Wine Tasting
Mendocino is well-known as an incredible wine lover's destination, producing top-tier Pinot Noirs (our favorite). Known for its awesome vineyards, there are plenty of wineries you can check out for tastings. Some of our favorites are listed below:

Goldeneye Winery produces beautiful Pinot Noirs, but anything you try here will be impeccable.
-
Navarro Vineyards not only makes brilliant wines, but they've got a beautiful outdoor picnic area perfect for popping open a bottle and relaxing.

-
Husch Vineyards is a small batch production. They've got a superb Chardonnay that even white wine haters will love.

Beer Tasting
If wine isn't your thing, then don't fear - Anderson Valley is perfect for a pint. With tons of breweries big and small, there will surely be the perfect beer tasting for you! Here are some of our favorites:
-
North Coast Brewing Co., home to Scrimshaw, produces easy-drinking, downright good beers. Located in historic Fort Bragg, this brewery is only a 15 minute drive from downtown Mendocino and is totally worth it.
-
Mendocino Brewing Company is a small, local brewery that makes everything from red farmhouse ales to pilsners to barley wines. There is literally something for everyone.
-
Anderson Valley Brewing Company is one of the area's best known breweries, and you can find their beers served all over the north coast. Special hint: their tap room hosts beers that you can't find anywhere else, so a trip here is worth it!

Restaurants + Bars
If you know us, then you know how dear eating and drinking are to our hearts. When we're not cooking at home, we're scoping new locales for the finest spots and Mendocino has no shortage of great places to eat, drink, and be merry:
-
MacCallum House is not only a restaurant, but a (haunted!) B+B. This spot is perfect for brunch or dinner.
-
Albion River Inn has some of the best views, and seafood, of anywhere on the northern coast.
-
Ledford House specializes in French cuisine, and fun fact, this is where we went the night we got engaged!
-
Trillium Cafe, located right in the heart of Mendocino village, offers fresh local produce and is a delicious lunch or dinner spot.
-
Good Life Bakery makes all of their incredible pastries fresh every morning, but be sure to get there early as locals tend to line up right when it opens.
-
Cafe Beaujolais put Mendocino on the map as a culinary destination, and it has not disappointed. Be sure to make a reservation if you want to check this place out for dinner!

Patterson's Pub looks and feels like its been around for centuries in all the right ways. Pop in to this tiny Irish pub for a pint and some local flavor.
-
Dick's Bar claims to have one of the best Bloody Mary's in the country, and they might be right. A local hangout spot for friendly bikers, this is the perfect dive for an afternoon drink or a late night dance party.
